Halflight is a diary you speak. Tap once, tell it about your day in your own words, and read it back as a clean entry under today's date.

Just talk
Say it the way it comes: the pauses, the ums, the half-finished thoughts. Halflight keeps your words and your feelings, takes out the filler and marks each part of the day with the time you said it.
Every day in its place
Every entry lands on its date in a calendar. Search finds any moment fast, and each month comes with a short summary you can read in a minute.
Add any past day
Pick any date, even years back, and tell it what happened. The day you got the job. Your first date. The morning your child was born.
Ask your diary anything
Talk with one of eight characters, from warm and gentle to curious and direct. They have read your entries, notice what keeps coming back and show you how far you have come.
Bring your paper diaries
Photograph the pages of an old notebook, and the entries move into your calendar under their dates.
Yours to keep
Your diary lives on your phone, behind its lock. One button in Settings erases all of it.
A little every day
A streak counts the days you have journaled. A gentle reminder comes at the time you choose, and now and then a memory from a past day finds its way back to you.

What is Halflight?
A voice journal. You talk about your day, and Halflight turns it into a clean written entry, filed under its date in a calendar.
Do I have to speak clearly?
No need to prepare. Talk the way you talk: Halflight removes the filler words and repeats, keeps your own phrasing and marks each part of the day with its time.
Can I add days from the past?
Yes. Pick any date, even years back, and tell it what happened. You can also photograph pages of a paper diary and add them under their dates.
What can I ask my diary?
Anything: what changed this month, when you felt happiest, what keeps worrying you, how a habit is going. Eight characters with different tones answer from what you actually wrote.
Where is my diary stored?
On your phone. To turn a recording into text and to answer you, the recording and the text it needs are sent encrypted for processing, only after you agree, and our server keeps none of it.
Which languages does Halflight support?
Fifteen: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian. You speak and read in the same language.
